This is a needle to for testing insulation of covering film material for electric cable.

Tree is destroyed trace with dendritic state within insulators, and deterioration by the tree is called treeing deterioration. The treeing needle is a testing needle used for evaluation test of treeing deterioration.

In 1979 version of ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials) our company name is listed at
standard D-3756.
