Utilizing properties of pressure resistance and heat resistance, sapphire is used as a material of windows under circumstances of high temperature and high pressure, and also used under circumstances of chemical liquid and in gas atmosphere by making the most of its excellent chemical resistant property.
Sapphire is used as an sensor window under such conditions as quarts get damaged. For examples, it is used as a window of a coin-sensor to distinguish sliding coins.

Treeing needle
This is a needle to for testing insulation of covering film material for electric cable.
Tree is destroyed trace with dendritic state within insulators, and deterioration by the tree is called treeing deterioration. The treeing needle is a testing needle used for evaluation test of treeing deterioration.

Ruby ball
OGURA is providing high precision ruby balls conformed to AFBMA standard.
With excellent abrasion residence, chemical stability, and low friction coefficient, the ruby is used in various areas like an industry of analyzing instruments.
Sapphire of high purity is colorless and transparent. If visibility is required, red colored ruby with same property (excluding optical property) is applicable.
Available by OGURA from φ0.15mm at minimum.
